The "Designers Delight" is an early computer dobby loom. Ours is a 32" 32-shaft. Referring to the picture you can see the "embedded control" computer used to run the loom: best they could do at the time but not very user friendly.
Both the computer and the solenoid control box are being replaced with a modern state of the art control unit. The solenoid control will use high efficency mosfet switches, and the computer control will be a serial interface. These two components will be plug compatible with the original solenoid cables so as to be a retrofit to any "Designers Delight" loom. The software loom driver will adhere to the Macomber protocol as to be compatible with current loom control programs.
